This summer my family and I took a trip of a lifetime to Europe! We started in Portugal, then made our way to Spain. From there we went to Scotland, and finally ended our trip in London. Every minute of it was amazing, and it was so great to see my children discover travel. I wanted to share with you guys photos from our journey. I hope you enjoy!

Here we are at the beginning of our trip in Évora Portugal. I was in heaven!
Évora was magical!
Evora, Portugal was such a magical historical little town. Lots of religious history spanning over 2,000 years.
Then we headed to Lisbon, Portugal. Ariah and Aden were captivated by the canon at the castle in Lisbon. Aden is making the sound, and Ariah was looking for Pirates 🤣
My children did so well on this trip!
I’ve always been an adventurer at heart. I’m so grateful for the gift of travel. The more I travel, obviously I notice differences, however we are all actually more alike than we think. I may not know the language in Portugal, but the universal smile goes a long way here.
Traveling with this face? 😍 Priceless.
Spain (Madrid and Seville) is exactly as I expected it to be. Some of the nicest and passionate humans on the planet! I am in awe of the paella, wine, flamenco, palaces, churches, etc.
Fun facts:
Adam is 20% Spanish and speaks fluent Spanish 😊
And I am 7% Spanish 🤣
How beautiful is this?!
In constant awe of this place. I can’t wipe this smile off my face. Seville, Spain. I ❤️ you.
After a 2 and a half hour train ride to Madrid and a 45 minute wait for a taxi (they decided to go on strike that day!), this one is still smiling. Of course we’ve had the normal tantrums or meltdowns while traveling. But my children are surprising the heck out of me on this trip. They are genuinely interested in the things we are seeing. It’s so beautiful to see them and explore through their eyes. Thanks to my husband for being the best parenting partner there is. Parents, don’t let traveling with your children scare you! It’s possible. Just stay prepared with toys, snacks, and keeping them busy has been our trick! Plus, they now have the traveling bug in their systems because of mommy and daddy.
Edinburgh, Scotland 🙌🏽
What a charming city!
It’s like walking on a movie set, but not. However, I did get to go to an official Harry Potter store! 😊
Then we started making our way to London to start the journey home.
If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I’m OBSESSED with Downton Abbey. I’m so excited there will be a movie coming out as well! Here we are at Highclere Castle. It was exactly as I imagined it to be. Ariah said: ‘Wow! Mom. I want to live here’. Yup. She’s my princess.
My adventures with my husband simply never end. 😊 I love the way we travel together. Nothing like putting on our comfy shoes, backpacks, embracing and exploring the world together.
What a trip of a lifetime. I’m so grateful for the awesome memories we’ve created with our children. This was our first trip as a family across the pond! Can’t wait to do it again! There was and is, still so much to see.

Love your pics, your children are beautiful. I’m glad you made it to the UK (my birthplace) . It’s nice to see you showing your children the world, I think it is important for children to experience other cultures & countries. Bravo to you and your husband.
Tamera, I can not believe how these Housley Kiddos have grown up, I don’t have time to follow social media….but I do visit your blog ever so often.
Kiddos are adorable, and still think baby girl look like her Dad and some of
her photos like her big brother….the vacation photos are wonderful and it seems like everyone had a great time, baby girl seem to be a daddy’s girl
and your husband looks like he enjoy his family…which is a blessings.
Continue to enjoy your family that God have blessed you with.
Our family vacation is over also, and this home schooling momma is deep
into lesson plans.
Blessings..
